Abstract: a method of producing a fluoroolefin includes hydrodechlorinating a compound of formula (1), cfcx═cclcf, where n is 1 or 2 and where xis h or cl, in the presence of a first catalyst in an amount sufficient to form a composition including a compound of formula (2), cfch═chcf. in some embodiments, the method also includes contacting cfccl═cclcfor cfccl═chcfwith cf═cfin the presence of a second catalyst in an amount sufficient to form a composition including the compound of formula (1). in other embodiments, the method also includes coupling cfcclunder conditions sufficient to form a composition including the compound of formula (1). in other embodiments, the method further includes chlorinating cfchin the presence of a second catalyst in an amount sufficient to form a composition comprising cfccl.
