STEERING SYSTEM

Abstract: a steering system () for a vehicle is disclosed, in particular a steer-by-wire steering system, having a linearly displaceable rack (), a drive portion of the rack (), via which the rack () is moved during steering, and having a detection device (), separate from the drive portion, for detecting a position of the rack (), wherein the detection device () comprises a rotatable pinion () driven by the rack (), which pinion has a toothing () in engagement with a toothing on the rack (), and a rotor () which is in rotationally fixed engagement with the pinion (), wherein the rotor () comprises at least one portion () which is flexible in the radial direction.
