Abstract: systems and methods are provided for a hybrid power converter connected to an integrated energy storage system (ess). in some embodiments, the system includes a first direct current to direct current (dc/dc) converter configured to provide dc input power to an ess in a first mode of operation and to receive stored power from the ess and provide the stored power to a common dc bus in a second mode of operation, and a second dc/dc converter configured to receive at least a portion of the stored power from the common dc bus and provide it to a load in the second mode of operation.
