Abstract: a printer includes a cutter unit attachable to and detachable from a printer body, wherein the cutter unit includes a cutter unit body configured to hold a cutter blade that cuts a print medium, and a cutter unit cover having a discharge port configured to allow the print medium to be discharged therethrough, and pivotally supported by an opening and closing shaft so as to be openable and closable with respect to the cutter unit body.
