Abstract: a retinal ganglion cell (rgc) stimulation system for an optic nerve. the system can comprise a ground electrode, a stimulation electrode, a voltage or current source connected to both the ground electrode and the stimulation electrode and configured to stimulate the stimulation electrode with an electrical waveform having a first voltage and a first current, and a controller connected to the voltage or current source and controlling the first voltage and the first current of the electrical waveform.
