Abstract: an example fluid collection system includes a fluid collection assembly. the fluid collection assembly includes a fluid impermeable barrier at least defining a chamber, at least one opening, and a fluid outlet. the fluid collection assembly also includes at least one porous material disposed in the chamber. the fluid collection system also includes a fluid storage container and a vacuum source that are both in fluid communication with the chamber of the fluid collection assembly.
