Abstract: the invention is directed to compositions and methods for the prevention and treatment of infections where the causative agent is a microorganism. in particular, the invention is directed to multivalent immunogenic compositions and vaccines containing multiple different serotypes of capsular polysaccharides and/or subcapsular polysaccharides that are prevalent in low- and middle-income countries where the burden of disease is high.
