Abstract: described herein, according to an embodiment, is an intra-oral composition for delivery of active agents comprising: a core, the core having at least one active agent, a phase change material, an exothermic material, and optionally a permeation enhancer, optionally a bitterness blocker, sweeteners and flavorings; where the core comprising less than 0.5% water. further described herein according to embodiments, are methods for treatment comprising administering to a subject in need thereof, an intra-oral composition for intra-oral delivery of active agents comprising: a core, the core having at least one active agent, a phase change material, and an exothermic material, the core comprising less than 0.5% water.
