READOUT-CIRCUIT

Abstract: disclosed herein is a readout-circuit. the readout-circuit is configured for converting an analog sensor charge into a digital output count. the readout-circuit includes at least one integrate-and-fire(iaf)-circuit. the iaf-circuit is configured for converting the analog sensor charge into a first digital output count. an analog voltage remainder after a final iaf cycle is further processed. the readout-circuit includes at least one analog-to-digital-converter (adc). the adc is configured for converting the analog voltage remainder into a second digital output. further, disclosed herein are a photodetector and a method for readout of an analog sensor charge.
