Abstract: a battery is provided. the battery includes a battery case configured to divide an inside and an outside of the battery, and an electrode assembly including at least one positive electrode positioned inside the battery case, at least one negative electrode positioned inside the battery case to face the at least one positive electrode, and at least one separator disposed between the at least one positive electrode and the at least one negative electrode, wherein the at least one positive electrode includes a positive electrode safety function layer disposed in an area including an outermost positive electrode area and is closest, among areas of the at least one positive electrode, to an inner surface of the battery case.
