Abstract: an aqueous battery includes a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode containing a negative electrode active material; and an aqueous electrolytic solution provided between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, the negative electrode active material contains a hydrogen storage alloy, and the aqueous electrolytic solution contains: a solvent containing water; and a potassium salt of a phosphorus oxoacid that is dissolved in the solvent, and represented by the general formula kpo, wherein n is an integer of 1 or more.
