Abstract: provided is an ic device of a battery monitoring system, which includes multiple sensing ics configured to diagnose a state of a battery and a reference ic configured to periodically activate the multiple sensing ics and transmit battery diagnostic results from each sensing ic to a micom (microcomputer). the multiple sensing ics and the reference ic are provided in a daisy chain configuration. the reference ic periodically activates the multiple sensing ics on the daisy chain on behalf of the micom, and also activates the micom when there is an abnormality in the battery.
