RAPID DETECTION AND PREDICTION OF FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF DAIRY POWDERS USING NEAR-INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY

Abstract: a method of predicting a value for a functional property of a dairy powder includes placing a sample of the dairy powder in a near-infrared spectrophotometer and using the near-infrared spectrophotometer to determine intensities of different wavelengths of light reflected from the sample within a near-infrared band. the intensities are then used to determine a predicted value for the functional property.
