Abstract: a pipeline monitoring system includes at least one collar configured to mount on a pipeline that transports a fluid; transducers coupled to the at least one collar and configured to output a plurality of ultrasonic waves that travel through the pipeline; at least one pulse receiver electrically coupled to the plurality of transducers and configured to generate electrical power from a power source; and a control system communicably coupled to the pulse receiver. the control system is configured to perform operations including operating the pulse receiver to transmit the generated electrical power to the transducers to output the ultrasonic waves; receiving, through the transducers, feedback data that includes at least one ultrasonic waveform; and determining, based on the ultrasonic waveform, a location on the pipeline that includes a material anomaly.
