Abstract: the use of a hydrophobic polymer, being for example a hydrophobic polyurethane or a hydrophobic acrylate polymer, is for producing a coating or treatment on one or more surfaces of decorative panel. the hydrophobic polymer includes an aliphatic hydrocarbon group, preferably with between 6 and 34 carbon atoms. the use may be provided in a method for the manufacture of decorative panels, decorative panels and as a mixture.
