Abstract: a system for marine vessel power management is disclosed. the system includes a switchgear and a first generator, the first generator positioned on a marine vessel and in electrical communication with the switchgear. the system also includes one or more batteries, the one or more batteries positioned on the marine vessel and in electrical communication with the switchgear and shore power where shore power is in electrical communication with the switchgear and wherein shore power includes shore power rectifier. the system further includes household load in electrical connection with the switchgear and propulsion motors in electrical connection with the switchgear. in addition, the system includes a control system, the control system in electrical connection with the switchgear. the control system is programmed.
