Abstract: a recording device includes a facing section in which an opening section is formed at a position facing the liquid ejecting head, and a shutter which is movable between a covering position at which the opening section is covered and an open position at which the opening section is opened, and which supports a medium passing through the position facing the liquid ejecting head when the shutter is at the covering position. the shutter includes a plurality of movement sections along a movement direction, two adjacent movement sections are pivotably connected to each other, and at least one movement section of the shutter takes an inclined posture with respect to the liquid ejection surface when the shutter is at an open position.
