Abstract: a robot hand system includes a robot hand and a control device. the robot hand includes at least one holding unit, a driving unit, an encoder, and a sensor. the holding unit is configured to hold a holding target . the driving unit is configured to move the holding unit. the encoder is configured to detect a movement distance of the holding unit. the sensor is configured to detect a magnet disposed around the holding unit and a positional change with respect to the magnet. the control device is configured to control the driving unit based on outputs of the sensor and the encoder. either the magnet or the sensor is disposed so as to be able to move in accordance with movement of the holding unit.
