Abstract: an all-in-one propulsion system for a wheelchair is disclosed. the all-in-one propulsion system integrates the described propulsion system with the power source and the controller. in some embodiments, the power source is removably coupleable to the elongated axle housing. in some embodiments, the elongated axle housing comprises a drive mechanism housing. the drive mechanism housing may for example be positioned between first and second axle housings. an engaging portion may be defined on an outer surface of the drive mechanism housing. the engaging portion of the drive mechanism housing may be matingly engageable with an engaging portion defined on a power source housing which comprises the power source.
