BIOIMPEDANCE-BASED FEEDBACK FOR MEDICAL PROCEDURES
Abstract: medical procedures and devices that use bioimpedance-based feedback are disclosed. bioimpedance-based feedback can include measuring or acquiring electrical signals that include or indicate a bioimpedance signal. the bioimpedance signal can be used to determine the position and/or status of device (e.g., of a clasp or anchor of the device) and/or tissue near the device. the bioimpedance signal can be analyzed and converted into information presented to a clinician to indicate a status of a portion of a device to provide feedback regarding the position and/or status of the device, for example, anchoring elements of an implant. some devices enable the removal of electrodes or electrical leads when the device is implanted.
