Abstract: a restraining device for childcare equipment with a seat includes: a seat body including a seat portion and a backrest portion; and a restraint belt attitude maintaining mechanism. the restraint belt attitude maintaining mechanism is supported so as to be rotatable with respect to the seat body, and has a change point at an intermediate position of its rotation range. when located on one side with respect to the change point, the restraint belt attitude maintaining mechanism applies such a biasing force that attains a restraining position for restraining a body of a child. when located on the other side with respect to the change point, the restraint belt attitude maintaining mechanism applies such a biasing force that attains a non-restraining position for not restraining the body of the child.
