Early Timing Advance Acquisition

Abstract: a wireless device receives, from a base station, a ue capability enquiry message and transmits a ue capability information message indicating a maximum number of candidate cells for eta. the ue receives, from the base station, an rrc reconfiguration message comprising a ltm configuration comprising a first configuration for layer 1 measurement reporting, a second configuration of resource, for the layer 1 measurement reporting, and a configuration for a candidate cell. the ue transmits, to the base station and based on the first configuration and the second configuration, a layer 1 measurement report and receives, from the base station, a downlink control information indicating the candidate cell for eta. the ue transmits via the candidate cell a random access preamble for eta, receives a cell switch command, for ltm, indicating the configuration of the candidate cell and a ta value of the candidate cell, and applies the configuration of the candidate cell and transmits, based on the ta value and via the candidate cell, a physical uplink shared channel (pusch).
