Abstract: a secure video transmission system and method comprises a secure network that is connected to a distribution network through a firewall. the secure network is adapted to transmit video data to the distribution network that can in turn transmit the video data to an end user after receiving a request for video url. video data can be accessed by an external user without directly accessing the video data sources. the firewall does not permit any devices in the distribution network to initiate a connection to any devices on the secure network.
