TECHNIQUES FOR USER EQUIPMENT COMPONENT EVENT BASED ANTENNA SWITCHING

Abstract: various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. in some aspects, a user equipment (ue) may communicate using a first antenna and a second antenna. the ue may detect an event associated with a component of the ue. the ue may switch a radio frequency (rf) chain from the first antenna to a third antenna based on the detection of the event. the ue may measure, using the second antenna and the third antenna, one or more signals to obtain one or more measurement values based at least in part on switching the rf chain from the first antenna to the third antenna. the ue may transmit a communication using the second antenna or the third antenna based on the one or more measurement values. numerous other aspects are described.
