Abstract: a battery module in which the lifespan, displacement, voltage, capacity, etc. of each battery cell constituting the battery module are uniform according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may include: a module case forming an accommodating space; a plurality of battery cells disposed in the accommodating space; a first pad portion disposed between at least one pair of adjacent battery cells among the plurality of battery cells; and a second pad portion disposed between a side wall of the module case and a battery cell closest to the side wall of the module case, where the surface pressure applied by the first pad portion to an adjacent battery cell may be less than the surface pressure applied by the second pad portion to an adjacent battery cell.
