Abstract: disclosed herein are various techniques for transforming single cell data into insights about the single cell data, and wherein the one or more insights are derived from medical papers and/or medical ontologies that are relevant to the single cell data. underlying this transformation is a network model of related phenotypes derived from the single cell data, where the network model exhibits a network structure that defines connections between related phenotypes of the network model. this network structure can be leveraged to meaningfully synthesize the single cell data with external knowledge such as medical literature and medical ontologies in a contextual manner.
