Abstract: a sensor device has a sensor unit and a controller. the sensor unit operates partially using battery power through a power supply line when the starting switch is off. the sensor device includes a sensing element that detects changes in physical quantities and a determination circuit that identifies power failures when power is not supplied from the power supply line. the sensor unit also has a communication unit that transmits sensor information, including power failure status. the controller, powered through the starting switch, receives this information, transmits return signals to reset power failure information, performs control operations using the sensor data, and stores power failure information in a non-volatile memory.
