Abstract: a controller is configured to generate configuration parameters using an artificial neural network and to use the configuration parameters in interacting with a non-volatile memory. at least one of the configuration parameters is not a threshold voltage for reading the non-volatile memory. the controller is configured to implement the artificial neural network. the controller may have a prediction buffer configured to store multiple sets of configuration parameters generated by the artificial neural network. the controller may select one of the sets as the configuration parameters.
