Abstract: provided is a numerical control device that appropriately promotes the discharge of chips and enables efficient drilling. this numerical control device comprises: a deep-hole drilling execution unit that performs deep hole drilling while repeating first cutting operation to cut a workpiece while rotating a cutting tool and second cutting operation to cut the workpiece at a slower speed than the first cutting operation while rotating the cutting tool; and a chip discharge time calculation unit that calculates the chip discharge time according to the position of the cutting tool after each cut in the first cutting operation. the deep-hole drilling execution unit performs the second cutting operation during the chip discharge time.
