LASER DIODE BEAM CORRECTION, COMBINING, AND COUPLING USING METALENS DOUBLETS

Abstract: the present disclosure provides systems and methods for coupling light in imaging systems. one such system comprises a metalens doublet structure having a first substrate; a first metalens structure provided at a surface of the first substrate and comprising a plurality of first scatterers; and a second metalens structure provided at a second substrate or on another surface of the first substrate and comprising a plurality of second scatterers. accordingly, the plurality of first scatterers is configured to reshape the intensity distribution of light that is received by the first metalens structure at a location of the second metalens structure; and the plurality of second scatterers is configured to change a wavefront of the light outputted from the first metalens structure and incident on the second metalens structure.
