OVEN TEMPERATURE INDICATOR

Abstract: the present invention relates to an oven door assembly for an oven comprising: an oven door including a first side, a second side and a thermally insulating layer provided between the first side and the second side; wherein the assembly is configured such that the first side forms an internal surface of the oven door facing a temperature-controlled compartment of the oven in use; a thermally conductive plate arranged on the first side of the oven door; and a thermochromic element arranged on the second side of the oven door; wherein the thermally conductive plate and the thermochromic element are thermally connected by a thermally conductive bracket. the invention further extends to an oven including the oven door described herein, as well as a method for indicating an elevated temperature of an oven.
