Abstract: the present invention relates to: a method for producing an asphalt composition that contains a matrix part containing an asphalt and a domain part containing a polyester, the method including melting the asphalt and the polyester to produce a molten product, and applying a breaking force to the molten product; and an asphalt composition containing a matrix part and a domain part, the matrix part containing an asphalt, the domain part containing a polyester, the domain part having a number average longest diameter of ≤20 �m.
