VENTED PISTON

Abstract: a vented piston is receivable within a fluid conduit. the piston includes a plunger body, the plunger body defining a fluid flow path extending between an upstream end and a downstream end; a fluid check-valve disposed across the fluid flow path, the fluid check-valve configurable to inhibit passage of gas from the downstream end to the upstream end of the fluid flow path and to inhibit passage of liquid from the upstream end to the downstream end of the fluid flow path; and a fluid flow inhibition member disposed across the fluid flow path to inhibit fluid flow within the fluid flow path, wherein the fluid check-valve is axially fixed relative to the plunger body.
