SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTINUOUS BLOOD PRESSURE MONITORING
Abstract: an imaging system for continuous blood pressure monitoring including determining pulse transit time using ballistocardiography and photoplethysmography is provided. images received from the imaging system are analyzed to identify heartbeat related micromovements and changes in blood volume at capture points of the body. one or more capture points may have a patch that amplifies heartbeat related movements of the patient's skin beneath the patch. some patches may include transparent optical filters. images may be analyzed to identify changes in blood volume at specific capture points on the body using transdermal optical imaging. the micromovements and blood volume may be used to calculate pulse transit time between one or more capture points on the body. blood pressure may be calculated using the pulse transit time.
