FOOD CAN TAB EXTENDER WITH SCORED LID REMOVER

Abstract: a device for removing a scored portion of a lid from a food can. the device includes a circular disk having a disk edge and a tab slot for engaging a lid tab disposed on the lid when the lid tab is in an extended position and a cylindrical wall extending perpendicular from the disk edge, the cylindrical wall for engaging a food can rim. the device included a wedge disposed on a portion of the circular disk along the cylindrical wall, the wedge for rotating a lid tab distal end away from a scored portion of lid of a food can and a magnet for removably securing the scored lid to the circular disk. the wedge may be integrated with the cylindrical wall. the circular disk has a perimeter extending beyond the cylindrical wall.
