Abstract: a cut-off tool includes a housing, an arbor supported by the housing for relative movement therewith, and a cutting disk attachable to the arbor. the cut-off tool further includes a blade guard surrounding an upper portion of the cutting disk, a retaining clip securing the blade guard to the housing, and a detent mechanism between the blade guard and the retaining clip for selectively holding the blade guard in one of a plurality of positions relative to the housing.
