Abstract: an aerosol generating device and a method of operating the same are provided. the aerosol generating device includes: a housing having an insertion space into which a stick is inserted; a battery; a display; and a controller, wherein the controller is configured to: calculate, based on a remaining power capacity stored in the battery being less than a predetermined power capacity, a number of sticks corresponding to the remaining power capacity; and output the calculated number of sticks through the display.
