In particular, the present disclosure relates to endoscopic medical devices with distally actuated axial displacement configured to impart in-plane or rotational ultrasonic reciprocation to an end effector. The endoscopic medical devices may include an elongate sheath, an end effector distal of a distal portion of the elongate sheath, and a transducer housed within the distal portion of the elongate sheath and proximal of the end effector.
