Disclosed are methods, systems, and computer-readable medium to perform operations for resource allocation for contiguous resource block transmission. In one aspect, the operations can include actions of identifying a set of sub-channels that are not suitable for serving as leading sub-channels for Physical Sidelink Control Channel (PSCCH) and Physical Sidelink Shared Channel (PSSCH) transmission, and excluding the identified set of sub-channels from a candidate set of resources.
