PHOTODETECTION DEVICE

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18838129 titled 'PHOTODETECTION DEVICE

Original Abstract Submitted

A photodetection device includes a substrate, multiple pixels, power lines, readout signal lines, and reset signal lines. Each pixel includes a photodiode including a cathode electrode, an amplifier transistor including a gate connected to the cathode electrode, an input connected to one of the power lines, and an output connected to one of the readout signal lines, a reset transistor including a gate connected to one of the reset signal lines, an input connected to the one power line, and an output connected to the cathode electrode and the gate of the amplifier transistor, and a first contact hole extending in a thickness direction of a substrate and connecting the cathode electrode to the gate of the amplifier transistor and to the output of the reset transistor. The first contact hole is between the amplifier transistor and the reset transistor in a direction in which the one power line extends.
