Glass compositions include silica (SiO), alumina (AlO) and calcium oxide (CaO) as components and may optionally include lithium oxide (LiO), magnesia (MgO), sodium oxide (NaO), phosphorus oxide (PO), barium oxide (BaO), strontium oxide (SrO), BOand other components. Glasses formed from the glass compositions may be characterized by high specific modulus and a high temperature at which the glass has a viscosity of 160 kP.
