An apparatus for manufacturing an optical device including a barrel portion and a first lens arranged in the barrel portion includes a light simulation part that receives initial design values for the optical device and simulate light passing through the optical device, and a Monte Carlo simulation part that determines whether the initial design values are appropriate by using Monte Carlo simulation.
