An internal combustion engine (ICE) system for a vehicle, the ICE system including: a two-stroke ICE operable on a fuel, the ICE having at least one cylinder with a cylinder wall and further a reciprocating piston moveable in an axial direction within the cylinder between a bottom dead center (BDC) and a top dead center (TDC), the piston extending in the axial direction and having an axial upper part with a top end intended to form part of a combustion chamber. The ICE system further includes an axial lower part, the at least one cylinder at least partly defining the combustion chamber with the top end of the piston. The at least one cylinder including at least one intake port arranged at a top end of the at least one cylinder and in fluid communication with the combustion chamber.
