AEROSOL GENERATION DEVICE, METHOD, AND PROGRAM - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18748174 titled 'AEROSOL GENERATION DEVICE, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes an aerosol generation device with a heater, detector, and controller to monitor the insertion and extraction of an aerosol forming base body.
- The device includes a holding part, heater, detector, and controller.
- The detector measures the capacitance sensor value to determine the status of the aerosol forming base body.
- The controller uses this information to make judgments about the completion of inserting or extracting the base body.
- The sampling period for detecting the sensor value is adjusted based on the heating control state.
Key Features and Innovation:
- Integration of a capacitance sensor for monitoring aerosol base body insertion/extraction.
- Adaptive sampling period adjustment based on heating control state.
- Real-time feedback on the status of the aerosol forming process.
Potential Applications:
- E-cigarettes and vaping devices.
- Pharmaceutical inhalers.
- Air freshener dispensers.
Problems Solved:
- Ensures proper insertion and extraction of aerosol forming base body.
- Prevents malfunctions in aerosol generation process.
- Enhances user experience and safety.
Benefits:
- Improved efficiency in aerosol generation.
- Prevents device damage due to improper handling.
- Enhanced user control and feedback.
Commercial Applications: Aerosol generation devices with advanced monitoring capabilities can find applications in the e-cigarette, pharmaceutical, and air freshener industries. The technology offers improved performance, reliability, and user experience, making it attractive for commercial use.
Questions about Aerosol Generation Device: 1. How does the adaptive sampling period adjustment improve the performance of the device? 2. What are the potential safety benefits of the capacitance sensor in aerosol generation devices?
Original Abstract Submitted
An aerosol generation device for generating aerosol, comprising: a holding part for holding an aerosol forming base body comprising an aerosol source; a heater for heating the aerosol source; a detector for performing detection of a value of a capacitance sensor; and a controller which makes, by using the detected value of the capacitance sensor and a predetermined threshold value, at least one of a judgment as to whether inserting of the aerosol forming base body into the holding part has been completed, a judgment as to whether or not the aerosol forming base body has been inserted into the holding part, and a judgment as to whether extracting of the aerosol forming base body from the holding part has been completed; wherein the controller changes, based on a state of heating control relating to the heater, a sampling period used for detecting the value of the capacitance sensor.
