A battery according to the present disclosure includes a first electrode a second electrode and an electrolyte layer positioned between the first electrode and the second electrode The first electrode includes a current collector and an active material layer positioned between the current collector and the electrolyte layer The active material layer includes an alloy, and the alloy includes Bi and Mn. A method for producing an electrode according to the present disclosure includes: forming a plating layer on a current collector by electroplating, the plating layer including a Bi plating film and a Mn plating film; and heating the current collector and the plating layer to obtain an electrode in which an active material layer including an alloy is formed on the current collector, the alloy including Bi and Mn.
