This laser processing device includes an imaging portion accommodated in a housing of a head unit that accommodates a scanning portion. The imaging portion acquires a target object image including at least a portion of a machining region, by imaging a machining target through protective glass. The imaging portion is disposed in such a way that an imaging axis for acquiring the target object image intersects a vertical axis of the protective glass in a position a prescribed first distance from the protective glass.
