A vibration damper (), having a cylinder () in which a piston () on a piston rod () separates a working chamber on the piston rod side () from a working chamber remote from the piston rod (), wherein both working chambers () are connected, via fluid lines () within a line block () connected to the cylinder (), to at least one adjustable damping valve device () and to a hydraulic system () connectable to at least one connection opening () of the line block (), wherein the line block () has at least one randomly actuatable check valve () for a volume flow rate through the connection opening ().
