A rotor for an electric machine, including a rotor shaft () on which an axial stop is provided, which is formed by a securing ring () received in a slot () in the shaft, and a rotor body () pushed onto the rotor shaft () and supported axially on the stop. The securing ring () is received in a recess () in the rotor body () and is radially surrounded by the latter.
