LOCATION IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18670068 titled 'LOCATION IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Simplified Explanation:
The patent application describes a system where a first electronic device enables sound recording functions on at least two second electronic devices and sends an ultrasonic signal to a third electronic device. The second electronic devices determine their relative location to the third device based on detected ultrasonic signals and send this information back to the first device. The first device then relays this relative location information back to the second and third devices.
Key Features and Innovation:
- First electronic device enables sound recording on multiple second electronic devices
- Third electronic device receives ultrasonic signal from first device
- Second electronic devices determine relative location to third device based on ultrasonic signals
- Relative location information is shared between all devices
Potential Applications:
This technology could be used in various applications such as:
- Location-based audio recording systems

Original Abstract Submitted
A first electronic device indicates at least two second electronic devices to enable respective sound recording functions, and indicates a third electronic device to send an ultrasonic signal. After enabling the sound recording functions, the at least two second electronic devices determine a relative location relationship between each of the at least two second electronic devices and the third electronic device based on respectively detected ultrasonic signals, and then send the relative location relationship between each of the at least two second electronic devices and the third electronic device to the first electronic device. Finally, the first electronic device sends the relative location relationship between each of the at least two second electronic devices and the third electronic device to the at least two second electronic devices and the third electronic device.
