HEAD UNIT AND LIQUID DISPENSING APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18627515 titled 'HEAD UNIT AND LIQUID DISPENSING APPARATUS

The patent application describes a head unit with a temperature detection circuit, a print head for dispensing liquid, a dispensing counter, and a temperature information output circuit.

  • The unit temperature detection circuit outputs a signal indicating the temperature of the head unit.
  • The print head dispenses liquid when it receives a drive signal.
  • The dispensing counter counts the timing of liquid dispensing.
  • The temperature information output circuit acquires temperature signals from the print head and corrects them.
  • The print head includes a temperature signal acquisition unit for temperature information from a pressure chamber.
  • The correction circuit corrects the temperature signal based on unit temperature information after a certain dispensing count value is reached.

Potential Applications: - Industrial printing processes - Medical device manufacturing - 3D printing technology

Problems Solved: - Ensures accurate temperature monitoring of the print head - Improves the precision of liquid dispensing processes

Benefits: - Enhanced quality control in manufacturing processes - Increased efficiency in liquid dispensing operations

Commercial Applications: "Temperature-Controlled Liquid Dispensing System for Industrial Printing Processes"

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the correction circuit improve the accuracy of temperature monitoring? 2. What are the potential cost savings associated with this technology in manufacturing processes?

Original Abstract Submitted

Provided is a head unit including a unit temperature detection circuit configured to output a unit temperature signal including unit temperature information indicating a temperature of the head unit, a print head configured to dispense liquid when receiving a drive signal, a dispensing counter configured to count a dispensing timing of the liquid from the print head, and a temperature information output circuit configured to acquire a temperature signal indicating a temperature of the print head and output a temperature information signal based on the temperature signal, in which the print head includes a temperature signal acquisition unit located at the other side in a stacking direction with respect to a vibration plate and configured to acquire temperature information corresponding to a temperature of a pressure chamber and output the acquired temperature information as the temperature signal, the temperature information output circuit includes a correction circuit configured to correct the temperature signal, and the correction circuit corrects the temperature signal based on the unit temperature information at a predetermined timing after a count value of the dispensing timing reaches a predetermined value.
